1. Who we are

CoinMetrix provides a cryptocurrency market-data terminal and is responsible for the personal data processed through the service. For privacy and account requests, contact contact@coinmetrix.app.

2. Data we collect

When you create or use an account, we process your email address, account identifier, verification-code records, session and security records, and account-related settings such as saved layouts, watchlists and preferences. We may also process limited technical and security information connected with requests, such as hashed client metadata, to protect the service from abuse.

We do not ask for passwords, payment-card details or trading-account credentials. CoinMetrix does not sell personal data.

3. Why we use your data

We use personal data to provide and secure your account, send requested login or registration codes, remember your terminal settings, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate technical issues, and meet legal obligations where applicable.

Where UK data-protection law applies, we rely on the steps needed to provide the service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, and legal obligations where they apply. We do not use your account email address for marketing emails unless we clearly ask for and receive the required permission.

4. Service providers and international transfers

We use carefully selected providers for hosting, database and security infrastructure, transactional email delivery, and market-data services. They process data only as needed to provide their services to us. Some providers may process data outside the United Kingdom; where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

5. Retention

Verification codes are short-lived and normally expire after ten minutes. Login sessions normally expire after sixty days unless they are revoked earlier. We keep account and saved-service data while your account remains active, and retain limited security or audit information only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, legal obligations, dispute resolution and service operation.

6. Cookies

CoinMetrix uses strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in securely and to protect requests against forgery. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability. To make a request, contact contact@coinmetrix.app. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner’s Office where applicable.

We may update this policy as the service develops or our legal obligations change. We will publish the updated version on this page and revise the date above.
